This notice covers this portfolio website and enquiries or meeting bookings you make with Nusa & North. Reuben Hester, trading as Nusa and North, is responsible for the personal information we use for those purposes. Our business and contact details are below.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, name and anything you choose to send, such as a project brief, company details or telephone number. If you book a call through Calendly, we receive the booking and contact information you provide. Please only send information relevant to your enquiry.
We use this information to answer you, arrange a conversation and discuss or deliver a project. Where you are asking us to enter a contract with you, we rely on the steps needed before that contract or its performance. For general enquiries and contacts acting for a business, we rely on our legitimate interest in communicating with people about our services. Where records must be kept to comply with law, the basis is that legal obligation.
Contact details are needed to reply; you do not have to send a project brief to browse the portfolio. This website has no newsletter sign-up or online checkout.
When you browse or watch a film
We do not install separate visitor analytics scripts or advertising pixels on this version of the website. It remembers your media choice and, if you choose a portfolio layout, your Reel or Grid preference. Details are in Cookies & media.
Delivering a webpage involves technical information such as an IP address, requested URL and browser details. The public website uses GitHub Pages for hosting; GitHub may process request information for delivery, security and abuse prevention. GitHub’s privacy statement explains its processing.
Some film posters are delivered by Vimeo or YouTube image servers. Your browser contacts those servers to retrieve the image, which shares request information such as your IP address and browser details. Locally hosted images do not make those third-party requests. Our legitimate interest is displaying the work in this portfolio.
Vimeo and YouTube players load only after you allow external media. They receive technical and playback information when loaded. Your consent is the basis for allowing optional media through our website. You can refuse and keep browsing, or change your choice in the media settings on this website.

Information may also need to be shared with a professional adviser or authority where necessary for a legal obligation or legal claim. Our social links open other websites, whose own notices explain their processing.
International processing
These services operate internationally, and information may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Their linked privacy notices describe the locations and safeguards that apply to their services, including applicable adequacy arrangements or standard contractual clauses. Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguards relevant to information we handle.
How long information is kept
Enquiry and booking information is kept for as long as needed to handle the conversation and relevant follow-up. If an enquiry becomes a project, relevant correspondence forms part of that project record. Retention then depends on the work, any ongoing contractual obligations, applicable accounting or tax requirements, and the time for establishing or defending legal claims. We keep information only while one of those purposes requires it.
Our media choice lasts six months; the portfolio layout preference remains until you or your browser clear it. Third-party providers apply their own retention periods to information they control, as explained in their notices.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Email nusaandnorth@gmail.com to exercise a right or ask a privacy question. We may need reasonable information to confirm your identity. We will respond within the time required by data-protection law, normally one month. This website does not make decisions about you through automated profiling.
You can also complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission or another competent supervisory authority. You do not need to contact us first to do so. The DPC explains your data-protection rights.

Viewing and sharing our work
You are welcome to browse this website and share links to its pages. Films, photographs, music, artwork, logos and other materials are protected by intellectual-property rights held by us, our clients or other rights holders. Display in our portfolio does not grant a licence to download, copy, edit, republish or use those materials commercially. Contact us about permissions; uses permitted by law remain unaffected.
Enquiries and commissions
Sending an enquiry or booking a call does not create a production contract or reserve dates. Project scope, deliverables, fees, timings, usage rights, cancellation and payment terms are agreed separately in writing. This website does not take orders or payments.
External links and availability
Some links and players are supplied by other services. Their terms apply when you use them. Content and availability may change, and we may update or remove material from this website. Please contact us if you find an inaccurate credit, broken link or other issue.
Responsible use
Please do not interfere with the website, try to gain unauthorised access, introduce harmful code or use the site unlawfully. Nothing in these terms limits a right or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Any mandatory rights you have as a consumer remain unaffected.
Applicable law
Irish law applies to these website terms, subject to any mandatory protections under the law that applies to you. These terms do not take away any right you have to bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable law.
